# How to Use the Inactivity Event for the Popup

The **Inactivity extension** allows to show the popup when a website visitors stay passive. This option is an ideal way to encourage users to take certain actions such as making purchases or subscribing to your newsletter.

### How to set Inactivity event

| Make sure to have at least one popup of any type created to use the Inactivity event. 

* You may add the appropriate functionality choosing Inactivity from the **Events** section
* Set the popup appearance time (**in seconds**) from **Delay** section.
