How to Use the Geo Targeting Extension
The Geo Targeting extension helps you to show/not show the popup to visitors depending on their location and/or IP.
The extension is paid. It can be purchased either within the bundles or as a single extension.
Once purchased it should be installed like this:
• In case of the bundle click here.
• In case it was purchased as a single extension click here.
The feature is available in the Conditions section under the popup Main Options.
With Is/Is Not "Rule" you can decide whether you wish to allow/disallow popup showing for the selected options.
You can also Enable AJAX mode for this Geo Targeting. Enabling the option will help when there is caching on the website and there is an IP detection issue because of that. Enabling the AJAX mode makes an additional call on the website and this makes it possible for the popup to be opened with no issues. Please note that if Geo Targeting works as expected, there is no need to enable this option.
You can target your Popup audience corresponding to:
Countries
Cities
States
Visitors IP
Please see all the conditions that are available with the extension.
Countries:
By setting the option you can decide whether you wish to show/hide the popup for people visiting the website from a specific country(ies).
Cities:
Here you can list the cities where the popup should open/not open for the visitor.
States:
Choose the states you wish to allow/disallow the popup showing.
Visitor IP:
Using this option, you will need to set the Internet Protocol address (IP) that you want/do not want the popup to appear when opening the website.
There are two versions of the plugin the original one and the light one. You will receive the light version when installing the bundle by default which only includes the countries and IP conditions. If you wish to have the cities and states options too, please uninstall the version from the bundle and download, after install the original one from your Popup Builder account:
